  • Total Remuneration $157,855 to $180,372 pa (including salary of $133,390 to $152,417 plus 17% superannuation and leave loading)

Join CQUniversity's School of Education and the Arts as a Senior Lecturer in Early Childhood to join us on our journey towards educational excellence. Our school offers a diverse range of courses, including teacher education, digital media, professional communication, strategic communication, music, performing arts, visual arts, humanities, hospitality, early childhood, education support, community services, project management, training and assessment and tourism.

 

We are seeking a dedicated academic with a passion for early childhood education to teach in our Early Childhood Education and Care courses.  

 

About the role

In this pivotal role, you will lead and innovate within our Graduate Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, contributing significantly to teaching, research, and professional practice. Your expertise in early childhood pedagogy and curriculum frameworks, paired with a strong research background, will inspire and guide pre-service teachers. With a doctoral qualification and a commitment to excellence, you will play a key role in developing innovative educational materials and fostering a collaborative academic environment.

Position Requirements

 

  • Possession of a doctoral qualification in Early Childhood Education.
  • An approved teaching qualification or willingness to undertake a Graduate Certificate in Tertiary and Adult Education. 
  • Proven ability to develop innovative teaching materials that ensure students are able to meet learning outcomes. 
  • Developing research track record through recent published outputs with the ability to contribute to research in the School. 
  • Proven ability to teach and supervise undergraduate and postgraduate University students. 
  • Current teacher registration or eligibility for registration (desirable).
