Are you passionate about empowering mature students to achieve their education goals? Join James Cook University (JCU) as a Mature Future Student Advisor in our Marketing, Future Students and Admissions Directorate.

  • $ 94,374.07 - $ 104,359.73 per year plus up to 17% employer superannuation contributions, leave loading and other generous employee benefits

ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Mature Future Student Advisor you’ll lead the development and implementation of recruitment strategies for domestic non-school leaver students, positioning JCU as the university of choice. Collaborating with industry, community organizations, government, and Registered Training Organisations, you’ll establish impactful partnerships to drive engagement and recruitment. Your responsibilities will include managing campaigns, analyzing their effectiveness, and benchmarking competitor activities to ensure JCU’s offerings meet market demands. Additionally, you’ll contribute to creating a high-performance culture within the team, emphasizing respect, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Degree qualifications and experience or a combination of significant experience and education/training relevant to the role.
  • Demonstrated experience working with prospective non-school leaver or graduate students in a student recruitment context.
  • Proven ability to develop technical product knowledge and an understanding of general sales trends and techniques.
  • Significant organisational problem-solving skills, with the ability to exercise judgement to manage own workflow and prioritise to ensure deadlines and targets are met in a high-volume work environment.
  • Experience using a range of applications for example MS Office, marketing automation, and CRM.
  • High level written and oral communication skills in dealing with people from a variety of backgrounds both internal and external to the organisation.
  • Sound knowledge of University student policies, procedures or protocols and the tertiary entrance application process (desirable).

Special Conditions

  • It is a requirement of this position to participate in operational activity outside of the recognised normal span of hours in accordance with the Enterprise Agreement.
