Senior Global Experience Advisor

We now have an exciting opportunity for a strategic and experienced Senior Global Experience Advisor to join our Marketing, Future Students and Admissions Directorate.

  • $ 94,374.07 - $ 104,359.73 per year plus up to 17% employer superannuation contributions, leave loading and other generous employee benefits

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Senior Global Experience Advisor plays a pivotal role in advancing JCU’s global engagement objectives by providing expert advice and tailored support to academics and students seeking international opportunities. This position is responsible for driving participation in JCU’s Global Experience offerings, fostering strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure programs and services meet diverse needs. The role ensures the effective management of international mobility agreements, maintaining alignment with institutional goals and compliance standards. Additionally, the Senior Advisor delivers high-quality communications, supports risk management processes, and ensures accurate documentation and reporting. With a focus on professionalism, customer service, and measurable outcomes, this position is central to promoting a world-class global experience for JCU’s community.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Degree qualifications and experience or a combination of extensive managerial or administrative experience and education/training relevant to the role.
  • Broad knowledge of the application of higher education, and Australian Government grant management guideline, policies, and procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under broad supervision and collaborate in a geographically dispersed team, delivering quality performance outcomes and contributing positively to business improvement initiatives.
  • High-level organisational, problem solving and administrative skills, with the ability to prioritise and meet competing deadlines, and an established record of exercising judgement and initiative.
  • Demonstrated high-level verbal communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to develop relationships and communicate effectively with academic staff, students, and government bodies including stakeholders from varying cultures, countries and backgrounds with respect and integrity.
  • Demonstrated high-level written and digital literacy, utilising a range of communication methods and social media platforms for business promotion, including use of a variety of systems to respond to enquiries, record data accurately and generate and analyse reports.

Special Conditions

  • This position may involve occasional domestic and international travel.
  • It is a requirement of this position to participate on occasion in operational activity outside of the recognised normal span of hours in accordance with the Enterprise Agreement.
