- Provide leadership and oversight for the clinical teaching program, examinations, pastoral care, and supervision of medical students based in Shepparton, as part of the Rural Clinical School program within the Department of Rural Health.

About the Role
Based at the Department of Rural Health campus in Shepparton, you will play a pivotal role in furthering the University's presence within the Rural Clinical School.
Reporting to the Head of the Department of Rural Health, you will be responsible for organising and implementing the clinical teaching program, clinical examinations, pastoral care, and supervisory duties for second and fourth-year medical students based in Shepparton.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Oversee the organisation and implementation of the delivery of the medical curriculum.
- Provide pastoral support to second and fourth-year medical students based at the Shepparton campus.
- Liaise with Goulburn Valley Health and local primary care clinicians.
Who We Are Looking For
You will possess a medical qualification recognised in Australia and Fellowship with an Australian College (e.g., FRACP, FRACS, FRACGP, etc.) or equivalent postgraduate degree, or another clinical qualification highly relevant to medical education, along with extensive experience in teaching medical students.
You must have a clinical appointment in the Goulburn Valley region and involvement with national bodies appropriate to your clinical specialty.
You will also have:
- Evidence of significant contribution to independent and team-based teaching of medical students.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and work collaboratively.
- Demonstrated capability of developing a good working relationship with all levels of medical practitioners and other health professionals in hospitals and the community.
- Experience in clinical teaching, medical education, and curriculum delivery in the clinical field.

This role requires that the successful candidate must undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case the selected candidate doesn't have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.
