Job Description:

(Level B) $111,031 to $131,335 per annum plus an employer contribution of 17% superannuation applies. A clinical loading may also apply to this position.

Continuing, part time (0.3FTE) position.

The Adelaide Medical School provides an innovative and collaborative research and teaching environment, located primarily in the Adelaide Health and Medical Sciences building on North Terrace.

In this Lecturer role, you will lead a team of 6 clinical lecturers across multiple sites (AHMS, CALHN and NALHN) to oversee delivery of the clinical practice domain of the Year 3 curriculum. You will also be required to work alongside other academics to ensure integration of content in workshop and tutorial activities. Knowledge of assessments is also essential, with the role requiring you to lead development and delivery of workplace based assessments and OSCEs.

You will also need to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, as an essential aspect of this role will be to liaise with, and support, casual tutors, academics and clinical titleholders. Due to timetabling limitations, it is essential that you are available to work on a Tuesday.

To be successful you will need:

  • Experience in working in Australia as a medical practitioner and an awareness of clinical resources to ensure teaching materials reflect best practice;
  • Demonstrated experience in innovative teaching methods and curriculum development at a tertiary level;
  • Proven ability to contribute successfully to a multidisciplinary work environment, including excellent communication and organisational skills and the ability to work as part of a team;
  • Demonstrated experience with online learning management systems and information technologies to support student learning;
  • A student-focussed approach to education, including the ability to provide and respond to high-level feedback.
