- Applications from suitably qualified early-career chemists are sought.
- Two casual appointments for two days a week commencing ASAP until 20 December 2024.
- Base salary range: $38.06 per hour (plus 25% casual loading) plus superannuation.
About the opportunity
- Contribute to UWA’s commitment to a safe and healthy campus by developing accurate and compliant Safety Data Sheets for hazardous substances and dangerous goods.
- Work flexibly within the Health, Safety, and Wellbeing Directorate, enhancing your expertise in chemical safety and compliance.
- Gain hands-on experience with the ChemAlert system, with UWA-provided access and training, while working independently two days per week.
About you
- A tertiary qualification in Chemistry or a related field, with solid knowledge of hazardous substances and dangerous goods.
- Demonstrated ability to create accurate, compliant Safety Data Sheets (SDS) in line with regulatory standards.
- Familiarity with the ChemAlert system or similar safety databases (desirable).
- Ability to manage tasks independently and work flexibly within a part-time, on-campus role.
