  • Base salary will be in the range $110,365.29 - $130,765.78 + 17% Superannuation (Academic Level B)

About This Opportunity 

We are currently seeking an outstanding Teaching and Research Lecturer in Business Information Systems to join our world class Business School. You will undertake research of high quality, have a growing profile and seek competitive research grants. You will contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and supervision and further development of the School’s programs as well as performing administrative activities associated with the School.

Key responsibilities will include: 

  • Teaching: Develop and deliver courses, engage in curriculum design, coordinate courses, assess students, provide academic counseling, and adhere to university teaching rules.

  • Research: Establish a research program, collaborate on research projects, seek and manage research funding, publish in reputable journals, utilize best practice research methodologies, and participate in project discussions.

  • Supervision and Researcher Development: Supervise students, recruit and manage employees, provide performance feedback and training, resolve conflicts, and ensure correct remuneration and benefits.

  • Citizenship and Service: Develop partnerships, demonstrate leadership through mentoring, engage in internal service roles and committees, perform administrative functions, provide support to colleagues, and uphold university values.

About You 

Applicants should possess a PhD in Information Systems or relevant field.

Additionally, you will demonstrate:

  • A growing profile in teaching and research in the discipline area.

  • A developing reputation and track record of publications in reputed refereed journals and presenting at conferences.

  • Evidence of successfully seeking, obtaining and managing external research funding.

  • Evidence of a high level of quality teaching at undergraduate, honours and postgraduate level across a variety of settings, including small and large groups.

  • Experience in course coordination and contribution to the development and continuous innovation of new programs, curriculum design and course material in the discipline area.

  • A growing record of supervision of Honours and Research Higher Degree students to successful completion.

  • Experience in meaningful internal service roles in conjunction with active contributions to external activities.
