This is a full-time fixed term opportunity to December 2025 that is based at our picturesque Townsville Bebegu Yumba campus. An attractive salary from $122,944 - $130,040 per annum, plus up to 17% employer superannuation contributions.

WHAT YOU CAN ACCOMPLISH IN THE ROLE

The Senior Project Manager, IT Projects, will lead and oversee a portfolio of complex IT initiatives, applying advanced project and change management techniques. This role is crucial in ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, while also managing a smooth transition from project completion to operational deployment. The Senior Project Manager will engage with stakeholders at all levels to ensure alignment and provide transparent updates on project progress and risks.

You are a proven communicator with sound negotiation and problem-solving skills with an eye for detail and an interest in emerging technologies. You are comfortable working in a large, complex organisational settings, balancing multiple priorities and timeframes, we would love to hear from you!

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE

  • Degree qualifications or a combination of relevant experience in Project Management.
  • Experience in planning and implementing technology-based projects in large enterprises.
  • Experience in implementing or improving PMO functions, mentoring, and coaching team members.
  • Strong understanding of IT systems, technologies, and methodologies.
  • Informed analytical and problem-solving skills to judge shifting priorities and work both independently and as a member of a team.
  • High-level written and oral communication, and interpersonal skills with proven ability to maintain highly effective working relationships.
