About the opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Manager, Customer Analytics and Insights to lead the development of cutting-edge analytics techniques and market research initiatives. In this role, you will be responsible for analysing customer behaviour, market trends, and dynamics to generate actionable insights that enhance strategic planning and optimize the return on marketing investments across all stakeholder groups. Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the development of analytic and market research insights for the Future Students and Outreach (FS&O) portfolio by collaborating with senior leadership, Finance, and Business Intelligence and Quality), ensuring alignment with university targets and implementing rigorous quality assurance processes.
  • Lead the creation of marketing communications performance reporting for SCU and create marketing performance best practice educations programs for the wider marketing community, particularly regarding the implementation and use of marketing analytics tools across the University and articulating results into actionable insights.
  • Lead customer research programs to gather insights on customer experience to improve customer journeys and commercial outcomes.
About you

You possess leadership in designing and implementing strategic customer marketing analysis and reporting to support business goals. You have a proven ability to utilise analytical tools for developing data-driven insights through quantitative methods, with extensive knowledge of data visualisation and reporting tools. Your experience includes proficiency with reporting tools such as D365 Dashboards, Power BI, Tableau, Google Analytics, and Meta.  In addition, you demonstrate:  

  • Extensive experience in formulating and managing budgets, allocating resources and managing key external relationships to deliver effectiveness and efficiency savings.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop innovative, analytic programs and solutions using multiple analytical tools to achieve measure business outcomes.
  • High level analytical and conceptual skills to deliver solutions to complex strategic and business issues with outstanding communication, interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills including political acumen and a strong ability to work effectively across formal structural boundaries.
Salary and benefits

Our staff benefit from flexible work arrangements, including hybrid work models, generous parental and carer’s leave provisions, wellbeing initiatives, employee assistance programs and professional learning opportunities. This position is:

  • Full-time, continuing (permanent)
  • Located at Gold Coast, QLD 4225
  • HEW Level 9. The base salary ranges from $129,848 - $136,131 per annum, plus 17% employer’s contribution to superannuation. The total remuneration package is up to $159,273.
