About the role:

As the Associate Lecturer/Lecturer (Mathematics Education), you will be accountable for high quality and innovative teaching and learning practices through the delivery and/or development of lectures, tutorials and other classes within the discipline of Mathematics Education at undergraduate, honours, and/or graduate levels. You will contribute and/or provide excellence and innovation in curriculum, content design, and/or enhancement of supportive, inclusive and effective learning environments, which includes the practical application of effective support to students. You'll have the opportunity to coordinate and lead activities, and work with the guidance of more senior academic staff, to provide independent and collaborative contributions towards the University's Strategic Plan. You will demonstrate the core competencies appropriate to your position in accordance with the ACU Capability Development Framework and the impact of your work will be recognised by peers within the local academic unit / discipline and desirably outside the university.

What we offer:

  • The University pursues an excellence agenda and offers an environment where staff are welcomed and safe, and valued through development, participation and involvement.
  • Total remuneration valued to $92,150 - $124,604 total rem (pro rata) pa, including salary component $77,868 - $105,292 (pro rata) pa (Academic Level A) or total remuneration valued to $134,709 - $158,885 total rem (pro rata) pa, including salary component $113,831 - $134,397 (pro rata) pa (Academic Level B), employer contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading. The level of appointment will be determined based on the level of experience, skills and capability of the successful candidate. A 3% salary increase will be effective from the beginning of the first full pay period commencing on or after 1st January 2025.
  • 17% employer superannuation contributions to eligible continuing and fixed-term staff.
  • Annual leave loading of an equivalent to 17.5% of four weeks' salary pro rata payable, dependent on your commencement date.
