About the role:

As the position Lecturer or Senior Lecturer you'll be a key academic and leadership role in the National School of Education. You'll provide input into teaching innovations and curriculum development contributing to the activities of the National School of Education and the effective coordination, supervision and/or mentoring of staff. Key responsibilities involve the ongoing development, delivery, coordination and assessment of units at undergraduate and postgraduate levels within the discipline of Literacy Education in line with the school's national curricula. You'll participate and contribute to the academic governance of the school in a range of administrative and advisory roles and actively contribute to the accreditation and review of existing programs. In addition, you will contribute to research excellence at ACU, through embedding current disciplinary research in the development of units, publishing in high-quality outlets, applying for research grants and/or industry consultancies as well as the supervision of higher degree research students at the level appropriate to the appointment.

What we offer:

  • Total remuneration valued to $134,709 - $158,885 total rem (pro rata) pa, including salary component $113,831 - $134,397 (pro rata) pa (Academic Level B), employer contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading or total remuneration valued to $168,512 - $182,954 total rem (pro rata) pa, including salary component $142,625 - $154,969 (pro rata) pa (Academic Level C), employer contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading. The level of appointment will be determined based on the level of experience, skills and capability of the successful candidate.
  • 17% employer superannuation contributions to eligible continuing and fixed-term staff.
  • Annual leave loading of an equivalent to 17.5% of four weeks' salary pro rata payable, dependent on your commencement date.
