  • Fixed Term (until 30.06.2025), Part Time (0.5 FTE – 36.25 hrs/fortnight)

  • Total Remuneration $44,631 to $50,205 pa (including salary of $37,714 to $42,424 plus 17% superannuation and leave loading)

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Research Support Officer to join our vibrant team at the Coastal Marine Ecosystems Research Centre (CMERC). In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for the Centre, delivering high-quality customer service and responding promptly and professionally to both verbal and written enquiries. You will assist researchers and research leaders in delivering research and consultancy projects on time, ensuring adherence to quality processes, and maintaining accurate data. You will provide high-level support to academic staff, students, and stakeholders, managing enquiries and related matters efficiently.

Position Requirements

 

  • Knowledge and proficiency to effectively operate University operating systems. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to quickly acquire knowledge about policies, procedures, programs and requirements.     
  • Demonstrated ability to liaise effectively with clients from all levels and backgrounds. 
  • A relevant degree in a field related to the research project with some subsequent relevant experience.
