About the opportunity

As a Compliance Officer, you will be responsible for coordinating, verifying, and maintaining compliance information and records. You will also administer processes and procedures within the Property Services work unit to ensure efficient and safe work practices. Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinate administrative processes for contractor management, including arranging and ensuring inductions are complete, the daily sign-in register is completed, isolation requests are submitted and all appropriate documentation is collected and recorded prior to commencement of contractor work. Maintain current and valid contractor records, such as induction reports, insurance, and licenses.
  • Maintain asset registration renewal and statutory compliance documentation, including testing records, preventative maintenance schedules, and certifications. Coordinate council and state submissions and registers, such as annual fire safety statements, liquid trade waste, and plant asset registrations.
  • Provide administrative support for the Property Services team, including supporting the Facilities Administration Supervisor and Manager, Facilities Operations backfilling during team member’s absences, supporting T1 processes as needed and providing general administrative support.
  • Oversee the Lismore ChemStore, including testing and maintaining emergency first aid equipment, maintenance reports, inductions, chemical manifests, chemical collections, and conducting work health safety inspections.
About you

Your excellent communication skills include experience in interacting with a diverse range of individuals and preparing reports for various stakeholders. You demonstrate initiative and a proactive approach to your work, along with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment. In addition, you possess:

  • A relevant qualification at Certificate level and at least one years’ administration experience, or equivalent combination of training, experience and knowledge.
  • Demonstrated organisational skills, including the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • A working knowledge of WHS principles in the workplace and commitment to safety and compliance practices.
  • Proven ability to contribute to the success of a team, with a flexible approach and demonstrated commitment to high levels of service delivery.
  • Computing skills including experience using computer-based record systems. Experience in T1 and Archibus would be advantageous, but not essential.
Salary and benefits

  • Full-time, continuing (permanent)
  • Located at our Gold Coast or Lismore campus.
  • HEW Level 4. The base salary ranges from $69,473 - $74,607 per annum, plus 17% employer’s contribution to superannuation. The total remuneration package is up to $87,290.
