Clinical Campus Manager (St George & Sutherland)

  • Employment Type: Full - time (35 hours a week)
  • Duration: Continuing, to start from 23rd September 2024
  • Remuneration: From $143K base (+ 17% Super, leave loading)
  • Location: St George Hospital, Sydney

Why this role matters:

This role will be responsible for the operational management of all locations comprising the aligned Clinical Campuses, including delegated financial management, human resources, physical resources, student support services and work health and safety. The position will also be responsible for the strategic support for the Disciplines of Critical Care and Surgery across the School. Also, ensuring the effective delivery against operational Health 25 objectives across the School of Clinical Medicine at the aligned Clinical Campuses. This position will implement Faculty-wide policy, procedures and systems in line with UNSW direction and if required, represent the Clinical Campus Managers on Faculty and Randwick Health & Innovation Precinct committees and stakeholder groups. The role leads a team of three and reports to the Senior Manager, School of Clinical Medicine.

Key skills required:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification with extensive relevant experience or equivalent competence gained through any combination of education, training and experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in people leadership, development and management, with the demonstrated skills to motivate inspire, and mobilise teams to create a positive workplace culture and deliver quality outcomes.
  • Excellent consultation, influencing, communication, negotiation and networking to achieve outcomes, particularly in an environment where services are provided by a service provider or function, and with close external stakeholder organisations.
  • Extensive operational management skills including planning, priority setting, and managing a high volume, process-driven administrative environment with variable workflows.
  • Demonstrated experience in financial planning and management and proven ability to interpret financial data to provide high quality advice.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills and proven capacity to exercise initiative, flexibility and to be proactive in development of robust solutions to problems.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail for deliverables produced.
  • Advanced level of computer literacy, working with a range of computer systems and applications, including Microsoft Office 365 suite including Teams, One Drive, Power BI, Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Outlook and with using UNSW’s enterprise systems.
