The Opportunity

The Senior Research Development Manager (ARC) provides project management, high-level administrative support, strategic communication, and editorial assistance within the Research Strategy Office (RSO). Key responsibilities include:

  • Strategic assistance to researchers for competitive research funding proposals, particularly focusing on the Australian Research Council (ARC) and other national research agencies.
  • Effective collaboration with researchers, funding bodies, and potential partners on collaborative research initiatives.
  • Leadership to two direct reports.

The Organisation

The UNSW Research Strategy Office (RSO) works with Faculties, research teams and researchers to initiate, facilitate and secure new national and international research funding bids and Fellowships; and develop ongoing strategies to ensure that UNSW enhances its research profile and increases the level, quality and diversity of research funding.

Who you are

You can demonstrate significant experience supporting applicants in developing successful collaborative research grant applications, ideally within the ARC major grants schemes.

You’ll also be able to demonstrate your experience delivering strategic support programs for researchers seeking research funding, proficiency in analysing and integrating complex data, relationship management skills and the ability to engage with stakeholders, people leadership and commitment to UNSW's values, policies and guidelines, and health and safety responsibilities.
