Why Your Role Matters: Under the direction of the School Manager, the Administration Support Coordinator is responsible for providing and supporting a broad range of administrative functions to ensure the effective delivery for the schools teaching and research activities. The primary focus for this role will be operating and providing support in the Higher Degree Research portfolio. The Administrative Support Coordinator plays a key role in the establishment, maintenance and improvement of school systems and processes to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the school

Responsibilities can include:

Administration and operations support for Higher Degree Research

  • Administration of recruitment activities
  • Coordinate and oversee the day-to-day management of office supplies, to include inventory management, logistics, and related activities.
  • Develop and maintain detailed filing systems, spreadsheets, databases, websites, and other administrative systems as required.

Who You Are (skills and experience):

Our ideal candidate will have demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills and enjoy providing customer service, supporting colleagues, students and collaborating with a team to establish and embed the school’s systems and processes. Ideally you will have experience working in a university research administrative environment.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification with subsequent relevant experience or equivalent competence gained through any combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Sound organisational skills including ability to prioritise tasks and duties.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within and across teams to build relationships with colleagues, and internal and external stakeholders to deliver on outcomes.
  • Attention to detail and ability to provide effective customer service and support to clients at all levels.
  • Ability to produce accurate, timely and well-presented information that meets requirements.
  • Proficient level of computer literacy with advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications including word processing, SharePoint, spreadsheets, databases, internet, email and online systems.
