  • Remuneration: Level 5/6 $82,817 - $103,433 (depending on experience) + 17% super + leave loading

Why your role matters:
Our HR BP Function plays both an operational and strategic role partnering with people leaders to achieve their people strategy and furthering the meaningful work we do at UNSW.

The Contingent Workforce HRBP team is a new development for the business as we continue to build subject matter expertise around our casual employees. Overseeing the complete lifecycle for this integral cohort, this team will lead on operational input for new legislation, engagement and onboarding and the strategic workforce planning. You’ll have the opportunity to work with some of the best minds in their field and be inspired by the talent and passion of colleagues and students.

As HR Officer you will provide dedicated HR administrative and advisory support to your area. Bringing your existing understand of HR practices, you will work across a variety of HR operational tasks that support the employee lifecycle of your client group and also have the opportunity to be part of meaningful HR projects and initiatives. Under the guidance of your HR Consultant, this is a great opportunity to develop your HR career in a large and supportive organisation, where learning and growth is strongly encouraged. Other responsibilities include:

  • Providing broad HR administrative support in a timely manner
  • Acting as the first point of contact for general HR queries
  • Building strong and effective relationships with stakeholders and colleagues
  • Updating data on the HRIS as required and ensure HR Resources are up-to-date
  • Providing timely HR advice and guidance to managers and employees
  • Interpretation, implementation of the University’s HR policies and procedures

Who You Are: We're looking for a strong communicator with existing HR generalist experience, this is a diverse role with the opportunity to offer HR administration support and partake in HR project work. You'll have:

  • A relevant degree and previous experience in an HR administration role
  • Excellent stakeholder management with a strong customer service focus
  • Proven ability in multitasking and managing different priorities
  • A positive attitude, proactive and problem-solving mindset
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, HR practices and processes
  • High attention to detail to accurately draft and prepare HR related documentation
