Working at CQUniversity

CQUniversity’s School of Engineering and Technology is seeking a dedicated researcher to join our team. As a member of our research staff, you will play a key role in the development and execution of an innovative project, contributing to the research efforts of the University and developing expertise through the pursuit of defined projects relevant to renewable energy and microgrids.

The research gives you the opportunity to work closely with a Brisbane based fast-growing company designing and manufacturing dSTATCOMs, one of the world’s first energy management systems that allows clean energy producers to feed multiple times more energy back into existing electricity grids. This game-changing technology, which combines an advanced power electronics device with integrated energy software, also enables a multitude of other renewable energy systems such as solar PV systems, grid-connected virtual power plants, off-grid microgrids and economically viable battery energy storage systems.

This project titled “Feasibility Study of An Islandable Microgrid for Woorabinda Community” funded by Queensland Microgrid Pilot Fund administered by The Department of Energy and Public Works of the Queensland Government will design a shovel-ready microgrid in partnership with our industry partner.

If you are eager to make a meaningful impact and further develop your research skills, apply now to become part of our dynamic team at CQUniversity!
