  • Employment Type: Full time – 35 hour per week
  • Duration:  Tenure Track
  • Remuneration: Level B from $123,620 and Level C from $150,148 (plus 17% superannuation and leave loading)
  • Location: Kensington NSW (Hybrid Flexible Working)

About the role

We are seeking to strengthen our outstanding Organisational Behaviour, Human Resources Management, and Strategy, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation expertise within the School by appointing additional Lecturers (Australian equivalent to assistant professor) and Senior Lecturers in the School of Management and Governance .

As a Level B/ Level C (Lecturer/Senior Lecturer) you will make contributions to teaching in the School and carry out activities to maintain and develop your scholarly research and professional activities, including publishing in strong relevant academic journals and an appropriate level of engagement in university, industry, government, and/or community roles.

The role of Lecturer/ Senior Lecturer reports to the Head of School and has no direct reports. The position being offered is tenure track in accordance with the UNSW Enterprise Agreement.

Visa sponsorship and relocation allowance will be offered to the preferred candidate/s.

About you:

You will possess the following skills and experience required as a Level B:

  • Completion of (or be close to completing) a PhD with an organisational or strategy focus. We are specifically interested in candidates with research expertise in Organisational Behaviour, or Strategy, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation, or HRM.
  • Proven commitment to keeping up to date with discipline knowledge and developments.
  • A record of, and/or demonstrable potential for, research that leads to research outcomes of high quality and high impact, with clear evidence of the desire and ability to continually achieve research excellence.
  • Demonstrated experience in teaching and delivery at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.
  • Experience using educational technologies and online delivery methods.
  • Evidence of teaching effectiveness and passion for educational excellence.

Skills and experience required as a Level C (in addition to Level B):

  • A PhD in a related discipline, and/or relevant work experience.
  • Track record of research that leads to high quality and high impact outcomes, with clear evidence of the desire and ability to continually achieve research excellence.
  • Record of achievement and contribution in an engagement role within a university or professional setting.
  • A record of academic excellence with an outstanding contribution to teaching and research at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
  • Capacity and experience to contribute strongly to the development of research, teaching and programs relevant to the discipline area.
  • Demonstrated understanding of blended and online teaching and learning pedagogies.
  • A strong demonstrated ability for teaching and curriculum development at both the undergraduate and postgraduate level and a willingness to assist with the development of courses and program review.
  • Proven ability to supervise honours and postgraduate research students.
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to the research agenda of the School and a willingness to develop Grants and Knowledge Exchange projects.
