  • Conduct advanced research at the intersection of machine/deep learning, communication networks, and game theory, focusing on interdisciplinary topics such as security games and adversarial learning, with results published in top-tier conferences and journals.
  • Collaborate with Northrop Grumman Corporation and other leading researchers, with all research outcomes shared openly in repositories like GitHub, fostering transparency and wide dissemination of findings

About the Role

Join the School of Electrical, Mechanical, and Infrastructure Engineering to lead innovative research at the intersection of machine/deep learning, communication networks, and game theory. Engage in cutting-edge projects with Northrop Grumman Corporation, publishing your findings in top-tier conferences and journals.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Contribute to teaching, training, scientific mentoring and supervision of students;

  • Supervise junior research staff in the appointee’s area of expertise;

  • Independently plan and carry out research on the nominated research project and work towards completion of the aims of the project;

  • Develop effective timelines and milestones based on goals of the research program;

Who We Are Looking For

You will effectively liaise with external networks to foster collaborations, participate in professional activities and departmental seminars, and work towards building an independent research project. Additionally, you will engage in outreach activities and present research results at local and national forums.

You will also have:

  • A PhD Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or closely related discipline;

  • A record of quality research as evidenced by publications in leading journals and at conferences commensurate with opportunity;

  • Ability to perform independent research and a commitment to interdisciplinary research; Demonstrated capacity to communicate research concepts to technical and nontechnical audiences;

This role requires that the successful candidate must undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University.
