Semester 2 2024 - Casual - School of Architecture and Civil Engineering

The School of Architecture and Civil Engineering is one of Australia’s leading educators across the disciplines of Architecture, Construction Management, Civil Engineering and Environmental Engineering. We are seeking dedicated and passionate casual staff to assist with the delivery of our Semester 2 undergraduate and postgraduate courses, commencing Monday 22 July 2024.

Application process:

• Please view the available courses through the application form, to determine what area of work offerings are being made available for individual courses.
• Ensure you meet the essential criteria:
  • As a minimum, the applicant will have completed a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or be enrolled in their final year of a 4 year honours program in a relevant field
  • Good technical knowledge of the key teaching components of the courses you are applying for
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to clearly explain technical information to students
  • Available and flexible to meet the minimum hourly/sessional requirements for the course
  • Able to work collegially to support excellent teaching within the school
  • Are an Australian citizen or possess eligible Australian working visa*

• Consider the desired criteria:
  • Conferral of a postgraduate qualification in a relevant field
  • Teaching qualifications or formal training
  • Previous experience with casual work within the school
  • Demonstrated ability to educate and mentor students
  • Evidence of good student feedback in student evaluations
  • Evidence of good feedback from course coordinators
