Academic Support Officer (Research), School of Humanities and Social Sciences

Employment type: Full time, 35hrs
Duration: Fixed term* for a period of up to 12 months
Remuneration: Level 4/5 from $75,927 – $93,711 plus 17% Superannuation
Location: Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

Under the direction of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences School Manager the Academic Support Officer (Research) provides administrative support and assistance within the School to ensure effective delivery of the teaching and research activities of the School.

  • A post-secondary qualification with relevant work experience or equivalent knowledge.
  • Proficiency in various computing skills and the ability to learn new systems.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact respectfully with diverse people.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, delivering accurate and timely outcomes.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage complex tasks with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet strict deadlines in a busy environment.
