Academic Level C $130,810 - $150,431 or Level B $107,276 - $126,894 per annum plus 17% superannuation.

Our ideal candidate is a mid-career researcher with expertise in environmental law, climate change law or international law who can carry out and lead research, scholarship, and professional activities and who has a strong track record of high-quality publications in environmental and/or climate change law, supervision of higher degree research and ability to attract external research funding. They will have a clear research agenda related to environment and/or climate change law. They are highly motivated and comfortable in working independently with a proven track record as a reliable and trusted team player. They are dedicated to inspiring the next generation of legal professionals through their teaching and academic leadership.

To be successful you will need:

Level B

• Completion of a doctoral qualification of law and a Bachelor of Laws (or equivalent).
• Evidence of a high research potential demonstrated through high quality journal publications and a pipeline of papers targeting high-quality refereed journals.
• Experience in effective teaching in law, mentoring and supervision of students.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work within academic teams.
• Demonstrated ability to promote the organisational values of integrity, respect, collegiality, excellence and discovery, and a commitment to positively comply with the associated behaviour expectations.
• The ability to take a role in outreach activities of the Law School, and to promote the Law School and the discipline of law in the University, amongst the legal profession, and in the wider community.
• Expertise in the areas of environmental law, climate change law, or regulation of food and agriculture (desirable)

Level C

• Completion of a doctoral qualification of law and a Bachelor of Laws (or equivalent).
• Demonstrated research experience including a strong track record of high-quality publications in environmental and/or climate change law, supervision of higher degree research and ability to attract external research funding.
• Experience in effective teaching in law at undergraduate and post-graduate levels, course coordination, and curriculum design and development.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and a demonstrated ability to effectively work within and to lead academic teams.
• Demonstrated ability to promote the organisational values of integrity, respect, collegiality, excellence and discovery, and a commitment to positively comply with the associated behaviour expectations.
• The ability to take a role in outreach activities of the Law School, and to promote the Law School and the discipline of law in the University, amongst the legal profession, and in the wider community.
• Expertise in the areas of environmental law, climate change law and international law (desirable)
