CQUniversity’s College of Information and Communications Technology is seeking a dedicated researcher to join our team. As a member of our research staff, you will play a key role in the development and execution of innovative projects. Your contributions will be valued as you work both independently and collaboratively to conduct research and produce impactful conference, seminar papers, and publications.

 

In this role, you will take on a range of responsibilities, including providing essential administrative support for your research area and participating in meetings with other researchers. You will conduct research under limited supervisor, either as part of a team or independently, whilst contributing to the overall success of the organisational unit. In addition, you will support and advise postgraduate students in your research domain and get hands-on experience with designing and operating laboratory equipment, playing a significant role in critical experimental processes.

Position Requirements

 

  • Completion of a PhD in Computer Science or a relevant discipline. *If upon appointment or during appointment the employee gains a relevant doctoral qualification then will be paid no lower than this salary point.
  • Demonstrated experience in research related to advanced computing, networking, optimisation algorithms, and cybersecurity.
  • Willingness to engage in sourcing and obtaining external grants and contracts.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams and project oversight.
  • Proficient in conducting thorough research, including statistical analysis, data interpretation, and preparation of reports and papers.
  • Skilled at liaising with internal and external clients, providing advice, and maintaining positive client relationships.
