Southern Cross University is seeking applications from experienced Senior System Analysts to harness the power of technology and contribute to innovative solutions delivering strategic value and operational excellence. We are specifically seeking individuals who have working knowledge of the higher education sector and experience developing solutions using Technology One, Student Management System, preferably with technical experience with both Ci and CiA platforms.

Working closely with stakeholders across the University, the Senior System Analyst leads the scoping, development, and implementation of new solutions within Student and Engagement technologies. As a dynamic and talented Senior System Analyst, apply your experience and extend your expertise in the following core capabilities:

  • Implement technically complex configuration and processes utilising your knowledge of Student Management System administration (Ci and CIA), business process automation tools, ETLs, data models and enterprise integrations
  • Lead initiatives, liaising with technical colleagues and stakeholders to understand requirements, performance expectations and associated University business roadmaps. Discuss and explore possible system-based solutions and configuration to meet agreed timelines
  • Lead analysis of new functionality or investigation of complex problem solutioning, developing technical specifications to support systems-based business processes and integrations
  • Provide input into the preparation of business cases and solutions proposals and define processes to enable efficiencies in consultation with the relevant Technology Services Manager
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal clients and suppliers, representing the team at internal and external meetings with customers, stakeholders and vendors
About you

You are an IT professional ready to flex and grow your technical skills and be at the forefront of technology advancements. You are passionate and committed to innovation and providing solutions to improve service delivery, specifically improving outcomes for Students.

In addition, you possess:

  • Expertise in the use and configuration of University enterprise applications, with specific prowess in Technology One Student System, experience in both Ci and CiA platforms highly regarded.
  • Proven high level ability to diagnose and troubleshoot a range of system related issues and business processes and propose and execute effective solutions.
  • Proven high-level skills to analyse and document system-based business process and complex reporting requirements
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies and the proven ability to make recommendations to maximise efficiencies
  • Excellent communication skills with the proven ability to maintain business and technical documentation.

  • The base salary ranges from $99,711 to $122,525 plus 17% employer’s contribution to superannuation, negotiated based on technical skills and sector experience.
