(Level B) $107,276 - $126,894 per annum plus an employer contribution of 17% superannuation applies.

(Level C) $130,810 – $150,431 per annum plus an employer contribution of 17% superannuation applies.

The School of Computer and Mathematical Sciences is looking for a continuing Lecturer (B) or Senior Lecturer (C) in pure mathematics. We seek a strong researcher and committed educator to join our team of active researchers in differential, noncommutative, and complex geometry and related areas.

To be successful at Level B you will need:

  • PhD in pure mathematics or equivalent qualification
  • Demonstrated research ability that supports the School's research strengths in pure mathematics
  • Record of research achievements as evidenced by publications in high-quality journals
  • Demonstrated ability to teach effectively using evidence-based pedagogy that promotes student engagement
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English with both students and staff
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to carry out administrative duties, as directed by the Head of School, effectively and efficiently
  • Commitment to the principles of equity, diversity and inclusion, and ability to contribute to the diversity of the School community

To be successful at Level C you will also need:

  • Substantial record of research achievements as evidenced by publications in high-quality journals
  • Demonstrated ability to win significant research funding
  • Substantial record of success in effective teaching using evidence-based pedagogy that promotes student engagement and as course coordinator
  • Record of successful curriculum development or pedagogical innovation
  • Demonstrated ability to attract and supervise postgraduate students
