About the opportunity

Join Southern Cross University’s Student Administration Services as we seek to appoint multiple positions to provide administrative support during the student lifecycle, with a focus on enhancing our student experience.

The Student Administration Officer plays a critical role in providing quality service to students as the first point of contact in a manner that enhances the student experience. In this role, you will provide professional and friendly advice and support within tight timeframes to efficiently resolve or elevate a wide range of student enquiries related to admissions, enrolment, student fees, alternative entry pathways, examinations, graduation and other administrative activities. Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Provide advice and support to students with a focus on efficiency and accuracy of information provided;
  • Undertake general administrative duties including the preparation of student correspondence; and
  • Work productively in a team environment and share knowledge to support the resolution of student enquires.
About you

You will have demonstrated experience working in a client services team delivering high levels of service with a strong commitment to service excellence and responsiveness. Your exceptional communication and interpersonal skills enable you to handle a wide range of enquiries and liaise effectively with people at all levels. In addition, you will have:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification and a minimum two (2) years of applicable experience in a student administration environment or an equivalent combination of education, training or relevant work experience.
  • Strong time management skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to exercise initiative.
  • An ability to interpret and apply policy, procedures and guidelines.
Salary and benefits

We have a cohort of continuing positions available at either our Coffs Harbour, Gold Coast or Lismore campuses.

The HEW 4 base salary ranges from $69,473 - $74,607 per annum, plus 17% employer’s contribution to superannuation. The total remuneration package is up to $87,290 per annum.
