Post-Doctoral Fellow (Implementation Science)

  • Employment Type: Full - time (35 hours a week)
  • Duration: 1-Year Fixed Term (possible extension funding dependant)
  • Remuneration: $106K onwards base (+ 17% Super, leave loading)
  • Work rights required: Full time Australian work rights for the duration of the contract.
  • Location: Kensington, Sydney

The Implementation to Impact Team at UNSW applies implementation science to bridge the gap between evidence and practice. Their mission is to ensure that the latest research and evidence-based practices are seamlessly integrated into real-world settings nationally and internationally, including healthcare and health behaviours, energy transition, and climate change, ultimately making a positive impact on people's lives.

Why this role matters

The position will provide technical and research knowledge in the field of implementation science, contributing to a range of projects conducted within the Implementation to Impact team, School of Population Health.

Some skills required:

  • A PhD in a related discipline, and/or relevant work experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting applied health services research.
  • Experience and/or interest in trial design in complex health systems.
  • Proven commitment to proactively keeping up to date with discipline knowledge and developments.
  • Demonstrated ability to undertake high quality academic research and conduct independent research with limited supervision.
  • Demonstrated track record of publications and conference presentations relative to opportunity.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team, collaborate across disciplines and build effective relationships.
  • Evidence of highly developed interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and interact with a diverse range of stakeholders and students.
