About the opportunity:

Reporting to the Director of Risk & Audit, this role offers the opportunity to engage externally with a diverse range of stakeholders, navigate uncertainties, establish a framework from the ground up, and contribute to shaping the future direction of the organisation.

This is also an opportunity to mentor and manage a team member, fostering their professional growth, while also advancing your own career trajectory. Operating with a degree of autonomously, you'll have the freedom to drive initiatives forward and make a tangible impact.

The position will involve:

  • The review and implementation of the University’s compliance and risk related policy and procedure suite,
  • Identifying legislation obligations, and providing advice around policies and processes,
  • Support Audit & Risk Management Committee compliance activities,
  • Lead the development, use and maintenance of the University Enterprise Risk Management software,
  • Conduct independent assurance and compliance audits,
  • Establish a central process for reporting,
  • Preparing executive level reports.
