The role of Administrative Officer provides practical and proactive administrative services to stakeholders. This includes facilitating effective communication between internal and external stakeholders and supporting projects on behalf of the Directors, Executive Officer and the Office of the Chief Technology and Infrastructure Officer. The Administrative Officer will ensure that administrative systems and processes are executed to a high standard and support stakeholders with sound judgement and initiative.

This role will:

  • Provide high level administrative support including task such as diary management.
  • Provide highly specialised advice relating to administrative processes.
  • Monitor the volume of administrative tasks and prioritise tasks among other administrators to ensure a high level of administrative support is maintained.
  • Ensure the Department/School consistently applies relevant policies, guidelines and procedures.
  • Review and monitor administration requests such as purchasing, travel, credit card reconciliation, expense reimbursements, payment requests and billing processes.

A person engaged is generally expected to have the following skills and experience:

  • Relevant qualification with significant administrative work experience.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisation skills
  • Advanced level of skills in Microsoft Office software and other applications/databases.
