  • Employment Type: Full time (35 hours per week)
  • Duration: 18-month parental leave contract
  • Remuneration: Level 5/6 $78,130 - $97,580 (depending on experience) + 17% super + leave loading
  • Location: Kensington, NSW (Hybrid Working)

Why your role matters:

The HR Officer provides generalist HR administrative and advisory support to the Medicine and Health Faculty. You will be responsible for a variety of HR Operational tasks throughout the employee lifecycle and have the opportunity to be part of exciting HR projects and initiatives. Under the guidance of the HR Business Partner, this is a great opportunity to develop your HR career in a large and supportive organisation, where development and growth is strongly encouraged. Other responsibilities include:

  • Providing broad HR administrative support in a timely manner.
  • Acting as the first point of contact for general HR queries.
  • Building strong and effective relationships with stakeholders and colleagues.
  • Updating data on the HRIS as required and ensure HR Resources are up-to-date
  • Interpretation, implementation of the University’s HR policies and procedures.

Who you are:

  • Relevant qualification with experience in HR administration in a complex organisation
  • Sound knowledge of HR practices and processes
  • A multitasker – able to juggle tasks, projects, client demands and prioritise these effectively
  • High attention to detail to accurately draft and prepare HR related documentation.
  • Strong customer service ethic with excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrated problem-solver exhibiting a resourceful and proactive approach
  • Generalist or employee relations experience is desirable
