Employment Type: Full - time (35 hours a week)

Duration: 2 Years

Visa status: Full working rights will be required for the duration of the appointment

Remuneration: $80K - $132K p.a. (+17% super and leave loading)

Location: Kensington, Sydney.

The National Drug and Alcohol Research Centre (NDARC) at UNSW Sydney is a premier research institution, recognised internationally as a Research Centre of Excellence. The mission of NDARC is to conduct and disseminate high quality research to increase the effectiveness of treatment and intervention responses to alcohol and other drug-related harm. Why this role matters

The Postdoctoral Fellow will play a key role at NDARC in developing stimulant research, including pharmacotherapy trials, the evaluation of evidence-based psychosocial interventions, international evidence reviews, and analysis of existing datasets to better understand stimulant use and related harms. The Postdoctoral Fellow will work collaboratively with a national and international team of researchers involved in clinical trial research and epidemiology, and they will also work closely with leading researchers at NDARC and the Kirby Institute at UNSW as part of the team on the NHMRC Advancing the health of people who use drugs: hepatitis C and drug dependence (ASCEND) program grant. Who you are:

A PhD in public health, epidemiology, social science, psychology or equivalent

A research background in substance use, mental health or a related health discipline

Experience in clinical trials research or health service evaluation

Experience working with complex and longitudinal datasets

Confident using statistical packages and data management software (e.g., Stata, R, REDCap)

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team

Commitment to integrity and sensitivity in interacting with marginalised populations
