Known as one of the most prestigious universities in Australia and renowned for being its very first university, the University of Sydney (UoS) was founded in 1850. Also referred to as Sydney University or Sydney Uni, it is an Australian public research university and ranked as the 27th most reputable university all over the world. In the 2013 QS World University rankings, it was number 37 and part of the top 0.3%. 

Its university campus, spreading across the suburbs or Camperdown and Darlington, is also part of the top 10 of the world’s most beautiful universities according to The Huffington Post and the British Daily Telegraph. University of Sydney can also boast five Nobel and two Crafoord laureates as graduates and members of its esteemed faculty.
