Striving to achieve the highest employment outcomes for BEL students, the Student Employability Team (SET) supports UQ aims to improve links with partners, alumni, businesses, third sector and community organisations to develop opportunities for student internships and graduate career employment, learning and engagement.

 

The Role
Working within UQ BEL Faculty's Student Employability Team (SET), your role will include building partnerships with key employers, supporting the development of student employability skills and helping them succeed in achieving their desired career outcomes.
It is both an autonomous and team based role where you will have the opportunity to design and implement employability best practices with the purpose of achieving the highest level of student, employer and internal stakeholder satisfaction. Some key responsibilities will include:
* Designing, delivering and managing scalable programs and initiatives to help students identify suitable career paths, develop their employability skills, gain work experiences, connect and learn from industry and become work ready.
* Business developing and networking with a vast range of prospective employers and internal stakeholders.
* Facilitating and managing individual student consultations and industry placements (e.g. work experiences, volunteering, pro-bono, internship and graduate employment opportunities).
* Supporting wider SET programs, services and goals (https://bel.uq.edu.au/set#programs)
The Person
This is a great opportunity for a confident, competent and credible Business, Economics or Finance professional seeking a career change or an experienced Graduate Talent Acquisition Specialist/HR professional/Recruiter/Career Development practitioner. This role would suit someone with strong networking, relationship building, training and coaching, time-management and interpersonal skills, in addition to a results focused attitude.
Remuneration
This is a full-time, fixed term appointment at HEW Level 6. The remuneration package will be in the range $74,207.07 - $79,964.50 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of 9.5% (total package will be in the range $81,256.74 - $87,561.13 p.a.).
