Support a leading team of researchers with the Parkinson’s Disease Research Clinic
The Role
MQ Health Clinics has an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Trial Coordinator to join a team of researchers based at the Parkinson’s Disease Research Clinic (Macquarie University), working on a groundbreaking program to help find a cure for Parkinson’s Disease. Led by Professor Simon Lewis (Professor of Cognitive Neurology), the research will involve a number of disease modifying clinical trials with complementary biomarker and genomic studies. The Clinical Trial Coordinator will support the investigators to maintain efficient and compliant conduct of the trials, while also contributing to clinical trial activities such as preparing ethics and RGO applications, undertaking core day to day clinical trial management procedures, recruitment activities, data entry and data quality management.

The Parkinson’s Disease Research Clinic is a research-based facility that strives to develop better patient care and family support for people living with Parkinson’s Disease and related disorders. Our research investigates the causes underlying many of the problems faced by people living with these conditions. We hope a better understanding of these symptoms will improve quality of life. In addition, we have specific studies addressing novel treatment and diagnostic approaches.

To be considered for this position, you will demonstrate the below requirements in your CV and a 1-page cover letter.
hold a degree in a related field, and/or qualification and experience working in clinical trials (minimum 2 years)
experience working in a clinical research and/or clinical trials setting
experience in managing clinical governance and compliance requirements
possesses some experience with electronic data capture
displays excellent communication skills, written and verbal, including a level of tact and discretion when dealing with sensitive or problematic situations
is detail orientated and able to work systematically
holds ICH-GCP certification
preferably has experience working with clinical trial patients with neurodegenerative diseases
The successful candidate will have experience supporting clinical trials in a research or health setting.
