PRIMARY DETAIL

  • HEW Level 3 – Step 1 ($45.56 per hour), plus 17% employer's superannuation and annual leave loading.
  • Casual Position.
  • Based at Wallumattagal campus, North Ryde.

The Role

The Macquarie University Student Lifecycle - Enrolment Team is looking for enthusiastic individuals to join their team to support various Student Lifecycle processes particularly during May – August and December – March periods. On-site work will be based at Wallumattagal Campus typically during business hours (Mon-Fri from 9am-5pm).

You will be working during these periods as part of a pool of casual staff and responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting the manager and the Student Lifecyle team with administrative processes across the student lifecycle.
  • Understanding the relevant processes, systems, templates and resources to action student requests.
  • Data entry and processing student data updates in MQ systems, ensuring information are accurate and up to date.
  • Receiving and responding to student enquiries as appropriate and in line with established guidelines/templates, escalating/triaging enquiries as required.
  • Reviewing and verifying information from different systems (e.g. MQ and external platforms) and resources, including following up with students.
  • Performing initial reviews of student enquiries/cases; verify information/requests against pre-determined criteria; and communicate with students for more information as needed to successful to progress their requests/cases to the next stage.

About You

In order to be considered (please read the instructions on how to apply below) you will be able to demonstrate:

Availability to work at least during May – August and December – March periods. Flexibility of shifts (days and hours) is available to suit your study commitments. Experience in customer service roles (face to face and/or via digital mediums). Extremely high accuracy and attention to detail. Well-developed interpersonal and written communication skills. Ability to quickly learn different systems. Excellent time management. A positive attitude with a strong work ethic, and the ability to remain positive in carrying out tasks meticulously.

Selection Criteria

  • Experience in customer service or administration

  • Knowledge of student customer service and/or administration processes and associated policies 

  • Strong customer service focus and ability to work and communicate effectively with others

  •  Experience in developing and implementing administrative process improvement

  • Time management and organisational skills, and experience coordinating and delivering on competing deadlines 

  • Experience in high volume administration functions.

  • Excellent attention to detail
