About the team
Human Resources (HR) function plays a critical role managing and developing UWA’s academic and professional workforce, organisational capability and culture to ensure UWA’s success and sustainable growth. The overarching role of HR is to align UWA’s human resources with its strategic objectives, cultivate a positive work environment and ensure UWA staff have access to the necessary support, services and resources to thrive in their roles.
The Organisational Capability and Change team are responsible for development and delivery of organisational development, culture and change strategies to support delivery against objectives of the People and Culture Strategy.
As a member of the HR leadership team, the role partners with senior leaders across UWA to ensure effective talent management, employee engagement, and organisational development through development of opportunities and practical and innovative solutions to achieve academic and business goals.
About the opportunity
You will report to and support the Director, Human Resources in driving organisational capability development, culture and change agenda to support and enable the delivery of objectives across UWA. The role also focuses on developing and delivering strategies to build leadership capability and effective staff engagement to contribute to a sustainable, agile and responsive workforce and develop UWA as a learning organisation, underpinned by a culture of continuous improvement.
About you
You will have professional qualifications and knowledge across the discipline of Human Resource Management, organisational capability development, learning and/or organisational psychology along with significant experience working in senior management roles, with demonstrated leadership of organisational capability, development and learning.
You will also demonstrate an understanding of best practice contemporary organisational development and learning practices, and the ability to lead the development and implementation of effective strategies for workforce planning, development and learning.
In addition, you will have a well-developed understanding of the levers for change, and experience in leading significant culture change within a complex organisation or system.
