The School of Psychology and Wellbeing is very excited to present multiple opportunities for skilled professionals focused on learning, teaching and research excellence. Recently, the School has expanded to include the additional disciplines of Social Work and Human Services and we are thrilled to announce that we will be offering two brand new Social Work Bachelor degrees from 2023. This, coupled with our strong growth in student numbers in recent years within our existing disciplines of Psychology and Counselling, is providing you with an opportunity to join our team and make a difference in people’s lives through strong connections with industry and community.

Positions are currently available for Associate Lecturers, Lecturers, Senior Lecturers and Associate Professors within Psychology, Social Work and Counselling disciplines.

Counselling Discipline

UniSQ Counselling is focused on preparing the next generation of client-focused, research-informed counsellors, who are compassionate, ethical, reflective, and adaptable. Our counselling staff are highly experienced practitioners who facilitate enriched learning experiences that nurture and support our counselling students’ unique professional journeys.

Psychology Discipline

The School of Psychology and Wellbeing at UniSQ was the first School in Australia to offer a standalone 6th year program. Our Master of Clinical Psychology – Advanced Entry program commenced in 2020 across both Ipswich and Toowoomba campuses. We also offer the Master of Professional Psychology and the Master of Clinical Psychology programs on campus at Ipswich and online via Toowoomba campus.

Social Work and Human Services Discipline

UniSQ Social Work and Human Services is focused on applying evidence-informed knowledge and skills to strengthen human relationships and wellbeing in the communities we serve. Our future Social Work graduates will be knowledgeable, skilled, and empathic practice-ready graduate practitioners. They will be catalysts for change and promote social justice through culturally safe contributions and ecologically sustainable Social Work practice.
