• Salary Package: From $97,783 to $106,018 per annum (HEW Level 7), plus 17% employer's superannuation and annual leave loading.
• Appointment Type: Full time, continuing role
• Location: Macquarie University, North Ryde

Application Services is responsible for providing the ongoing Business as Usual management and support activities associated with applications, platforms and technologies managed by MQ IT.

The Applications Specialist (Workday Learning, Performance Management and Talent) will be responsible for implementation and ongoing configuration and maintenance across the Workday Learning, Performance Management and Talent modules.

About You

You are an experienced IT professional with expert knowledge in Workday support functions, processes and procedures, particularly in relation to implementation and maintenance of Learning, Performance Management and Talent modules in an enterprise work environment, including day-to-day support and troubleshooting, application configuration and maintenance, and implementation of ongoing enhancements including business improvements and new product releases.

You have a strong understanding of IT service management concepts and experience working with one or more SDLC methodologies. You are solution-focused with highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills and can demonstrate a strong track record in system configuration and support to resolve tenant configuration, business process, data and/or integration issues and identify areas for improvement to optimise the implementation and success of the Workday HCM platform.

  • Knowledge and extensive experience as a subject matter expert in Workday support functions, processes and procedures, particularly in relation into Workday application support requirements (desirable: experience with Learning, Talent and Performance modules).
  • Experience in course authoring tool software such as Articulate (desirable)
  • Experience across significant aspects of the following application support capabilities including requirements analysis, design, build and configuration, test, change management and training, release management, monitoring, tuning, and maintenance.
  • Experience in incident management, including response, resolution and post-incident analysis of major incidents.
  • Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills including the ability to analyse and interpret requirements and information from numerous sources.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to communicate with clients and colleagues with impact and credibility, and the ability to assess business needs, build relationships and manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Time management skills and ability to balance competing demands to effectively prioritise tasks and achieve deadlines, on an individual basis as well as for a team.
