James Cook University (JCU) has casual teaching opportunities available in the Psychology Discipline. Investing in the future of your profession whilst developing your own career, you will have the opportunity to provide casual teaching, tutoring and marking within the College of Healthcare Sciences. Opportunities are available at the JCU Townsville Bebegu Yumba campus and remotely from any location within Australia. Remuneration: $45.22 - $62.86 per hour.

What you will bring to the role

To be successful in the role of Casual Psychology Academic, you will have: 
  • A tertiary qualification in Psychology
  • A strong commitment to delivering high-quality contemporary learning activities via face to face and online technologies to enhance the student experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to interact with a diverse range of students and stakeholders
  • The ability to work flexible hours during the academic year including days and evenings
  • The ability to deliver materials to cohorts of varying sizes from small tutorials of 8-25 students, to large lectures with up to 300 students.
