The Opportunity

An opportunity exists for a dynamic team player to join the Monash Research Office Research Development Team. You will work with inspiring Monash researchers who are pursuing exciting and world-leading medical research and medical innovation. The Research Development Officer – MRFF is a new strategic position to increase Monash engagement with the Medical Research Future Fund; supporting the formation of key research consortia, and providing high-level support to researchers who are applying for funding.

To be successful in this role, you will have a broad knowledge of the assessment of research quality, presentation and methodology across medical research disciplines and comprehensive knowledge of the structure and intent of the MRFF. You will also have exceptional interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills along with demonstrated experience in working in multidisciplinary teams.

The role requires a deep knowledge of the medical research landscape in Australia, and a proactive approach to research support. Experience in translational medical research, particularly in a clinical setting and/or commercialisation experience would be an advantage.
