We offer an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager Research.   This full-time, continuing appointment can be based at either one of our world class facilities at the JCU Cairns Nguma-bada campus or the JCU Townsville Bebegu Yumba Campus.
 
What you can accomplish in the Role
The Business Development Manager Research plays a key role within JCU Connect leveraging relationships across relevant industry sectors and government to generate impactful partnerships. Managing a diverse portfolio of clients, you will be instrumental in identifying, evaluating and developing commercial opportunities to help industry innovate, leveraging research capability and helping identify pathways for Commercialisation of IP and spinout of next generation technologies leveraging the JCU Sandpit to Seed fund and other innovation and startup programs.
 
What you will bring to the Role
A key influencer, you will demonstrate exceptional communication, collaboration, networking and interpersonal skills and enjoy developing close working relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including JCU’s research leaders, key professional staff, industry, government and the community.  You will relish the opportunity to use your entrepreneurial knowledge closing technology and R & D related business deals, including licenses, Intellectual Property, spinouts / startups based on JCU capability. You will have a strong work ethic and business acumen as you strive to support innovative and commercially impactful research partnerships for JCU.
