The Opportunity
The Monash Faculty of Science expands frontiers across a range of disciplines, through ground-breaking programs involving research, teaching, and partnerships with individuals, industry and government. The School of Chemistry is one of Australia’s leading teaching and research institutions that also boasts a global reputation.
As part of the overall objectives of the School to undertake and publish high-quality research, a position exists for a talented and curious Research Fellow to play a key role in an ARC Discovery funded project that is aimed at the development and investigation of novel electrocatalysts for the nitrogen reduction to ammonia.
The position is responsible for (i) materials design, synthesis and characterisation, using both ex situ and in situ techniques constructing; (ii) development of in situ techniques, (iii) supporting students working towards the project; and (iii) publication of high-quality research papers. The position will work independently with other team staff and students.
Monash University seeks applicants for this opportunity who are able to demonstrate and present valid and current Australian work rights, including recent PhD graduates from Australian universities.
This is a full-time position; however, flexible working conditions may be negotiated.
