    State Training Co-ordinator

    Position reference 504168

    Dementia Training Australia (DTA)

    • Level 6, part-time (0.8 FTE) appointment on a 14 month fixed term basis
    • Salary range: $80,902 to $85,500 pro rata plus 9.5% superannuation
    • Position based in Perth CBD

    About Dementia Training Australia (DTA)

    Dementia Training Australia (DTA) is responsible for the translation of contemporary dementia care research through the development and delivery of training resources to the dementia care workforce. DTA is collaboration between four Australian universities and Dementia Australia, and is led by the University of Wollongong. Auspiced by the University of Western Australia’s Western Australian Centre for Health and Ageing, DTA (UWA) forms a key link between research and industry.

    About the opportunity

    Reporting to the Manager (Dementia Training Australia), you will be responsible for coordinating the delivery of DTA’s Tailored Training Package (TTP) program in Western Australia and South Australia. TTPs are designed to bring about sustainable change within organisations to improve the wellbeing of people living with dementia and the staff who care for them.

    About you

    To be considered for this opportunity, you will hold relevant tertiary qualifications (or demonstrated equivalent competency) and substantial relevant experience in an operational logistics role, preferably with a focus on quality training service delivery. You will also demonstrate the ability to implement strategies to cater for diversity, including acknowledgement of different learning styles and approaches to learning.

    Note: Occasional interstate travel and after hours work may be required.
