The core functions of the Properties and Facilities Directorate comprise Development and Capital Projects and Facilities Management. Expansion of Australian Catholic University’s capital works program has created exciting opportunities for client side Project Coordinators with suitable experience and knowledge to deliver small to medium capital works projects and to support the State Development Manager on large projects, from inception to commissioning in a complex stakeholder environment.

Reporting to the State Development Manager you will:

  • support the State Development Manager in delivering capital projects
  • be accountable for the support and/or delivery of a variety of fitout and new construction works consistent with ACU’s project management framework, policies and procedures
  • be responsible for all client related functions including project initiation, procurement and managing of consultant teams, managing the tender documentation and process as well as the contract administration of the construction
  • undertake financial administration of projects, including purchasing and payment certifications, processing quotations and invoices, budget management and reporting
  • minimise ACU’s exposure to risk through the application of effective project risk management and reporting

You will need to demonstrate:

  • experience in procuring, administering and managing suppliers and contractors to deliver works in accordance with statutory requirements
  • evidence of ability to show commitment with integrity to the Catholic Identity,  Mission and ethos of the University
  • readiness and capability to understand and comply with ACU’s project management policy, processes, procedures and governance

Total remuneration valued to $99,129 - $107,286 pa, including salary component $83,765 - $90,658 pa (Higher Education Worker Level 7), employer contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.
